Dr. Chayanant Pitikornpuangpetch

อาจารย์ ดร.ชญาณ์นันท์  ปิติกรพวงเพชร (ประธานกรรมการบริหารหลักสูตร) PhD Language and Communication, MA Language and Communication, BA English

Chayanant graduated with a B.A. in English in 2001 and commenced working as an Operator / Office Assistant at i5ss Co., Ltd. She then moved on to be the Secretary to the Marketing and Communications Manager and the Business Development Manager at ALSTOM Holdings (Thailand) Co., Ltd. After two years of running her own business, Chayanant worked for the Thai Design Consortium (TC) as a Secretary / Overseas Coordinator. Prior to commencing her MA, she worked as Secretary to the Finance Manager and Stock Controller at KIS International School. After graduating with her M.A. in English in 2009 she started teaching kindergarten and primary level English at Iconnect Education Co., Ltd. Chayanant has been working as a lecturer of English and Business English at UBRU since 2010. She finished her Ph.D. in Language and Communication from NIDA in 2021.


Asst.Prof.Yuttachai Boongthong

ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ยุทธชัย บุ้งทอง  MA Cultural Management, BA English

Assistant Professor Yuttachai Boongthong was originally born in Ubon Ratchathani province and studied at Ubon Ratchthani Rabahat Institute in English for 4 years. He later worked as an English teacher and tutor in schools and educational institutions in Ubon Ratchathani province. Having experienced teaching English for 2 years, he was attracted by the growing tourism business in Thailand; he took a training course to be a professional tour guide, provided at the Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University, and a teaching profession certificate from Sukhothai Thammathirat University. He then spent a decade working as a full-time tour guide for a Scandinavian travel agency working with Scandinavians for 3 years. After that, he started conducting tours around the counties for 7 years. Working with tourism-related activities, he gained experience in dealing with problems and challenges in the tourism business. After 10 years of experience in tourism, he continued studying for an MA degree in Cultural Management at Chulalongkorn University. His special interests cover performing arts, festival management, and cultural tourism development.

His previous research includes a survey on Australian Tourist Attitude towards The Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. His special interest in academic perspective included conducting students’ surveys, e.g., a need assessment survey of students towards business English.

Yuttachai Boongthong is actively involved in the development of Business English education, the Business English department, and the Business English Programme staff.


Asst Prof Jakkrapong Thongpai

ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์จักรพงษ์ ทองผาย MA English, BA English

During his undergraduate studies, Jakkrapong worked as an editorial assistant for a small publishing house in Bangkok, focusing primarily on translating from English to Thai. He began his first full-time job as an English teacher at a secondary school in his hometown, Mukdahan province. However, after a year of teaching grade 7 students, he realized that the international private sector might be a better fit to advance his English skills. Returning to Bangkok, he joined a filmmaking company, spending three years involved in several Hollywood feature films as a star-trailer coordinator and interpreter. His next role brought him to Khon Kaen University as a government-employed international relations officer. Seven years later, inspired by the academic environment, he began to reconsider his career goals. Upon completing his M.A. degree, he joined UBRU in late 2017 to teach and conduct research in the Business English Program. In October 2024, he was appointed Assistant Professor.


Dr. Sutthinee Ponhan

อาจารย์ ดร. ศุทธินี พลหาญ PhD English, MA English Literature, BA Hotel and Tourism Management

“After graduating B.A. in 2005, Sutthinee worked at the Conrad Hotel in Bangkok. She then went on to study for her M.A. in India and graduated in 2009. For her Ph.D., she completed it at the University of Phayao in 2020.

Sutthinee started working as a lecturer of English, and now Business English, at UBRU in 2010. She is also responsible for the Business English team in public relations, as well as specific projects including student summer camp and student sports.

 


Anthony Goldsmith (Aja)

อาจารย์ แอนโทนี่ โกลด์สมิธ MA English Language, PG Dip TEFL

“Anthony, a native English speaker from England, has extensive experience as a university lecturer and senior lecturer in both English universities and the private sector. He began his career as a registered nurse in general and psychiatric nursing before qualifying as an audiologist and nurse teacher. After graduating in 1987, he pursued postgraduate studies in adult education and research methodology.

With over 28 years of university teaching experience, Anthony has taught acute nursing, oncology, research methodology, audiology, psychiatry, human communication, business, and English. He also successfully managed his own business as an audiologist and educator. In 2010, he moved to Thailand and began teaching English and Business English at UBRU.

He provides academic and editorial support for the Business English program, oversees academic services, and maintains this website. He has authored two books on English grammar and Business English writing. His research focuses on education, communication, and interpersonal relationships, with published work on UBRU Business English students’ perceptions of Thai and native English teachers in the International Journal of Research.

An experienced educator, Anthony plays an active role in developing the Business English program and enhancing English education at UBRU.


Nitirat Utthachat

อาจารย์นิติรัตน์ อุทธชาติ  MA TEFL, BA English, BA Business Marketing

Nitirat attained her first BA degree in business marketing in 1993 and then worked for Siam Commercial Bank. In 2009, she graduated with a BA in English and started working at UBRU in 2010. In 2013, Nitirat graduated with a MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

In addition to her Business English lecturing commitment, Nitirat is the Business English Programme team secretary and contributes to the Ubon Ratchathani Nursing College as a guest lecturer.

 


Jidapa Chokhirannakin

อาจารย์จิดาภา โชคหิรัญนาคิน MA English, BA Business Computing

Jidapa graduated in 1996 with a BA in Business Computing. She initially worked as a receptionist at B.J.Hat-Yai-Hotel and moved on to secretarial work for managing directors at PSL Logistics Co. Ltd., Silom, Bangkok,  Thai Tasaki, Prapradaeng, Samutprakarn Province Sriyawong, and Ngantavee Intertrade, Sukhumvit 2, Bangkok. Jidipa has also worked as a lecturer of computing at Nakornphanom University. She graduated with her MA in English and has been a lecturer in English and Business English since 2010.

 

 


Nattida Sujaritjan

อาจารย์ณัฐธิดา สุจริตจันทร์ MA English Literature, BA English

Nattida graduated with a BA in English in 2006 and went on to gain her MA in English Literature at Pune University, India in 2008. Nattida continued her education and English practice in Brisbane, Australia where she studied ELICOS at Griffith University and in Sydney, Australia for courses in English Business Administration and Customer Services. Nattida also completed an IELTS Preparation Course in 2010 at Greenwich College.

Nattida has worked in International Business as a Product Coordinator at Asia Web Direct and has been working at UBRU as a lecturer of English and Business English since 2011.

 


Pattanan Sujaritjan

อาจารย์พัทธนันท์ สุจริตจันทร์ MA English, BA English

Pattanan attained her first BA degree in English in 2006 and then worked for L.A. English School in Customer Service. She then went on to the Export division at Concord Jewellery Co. In 2009, Pattanan started working at UBRU as a lecturer of English. She graduated with her MA in English in 2012 prior to transferring to the Business English Programme.

Pattanan is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English.

 


Worawan Buranakitpinyo

อาจารย์วรวรรณ บูรณะกิจภิญโญ MA English for Communication, BA English

After graduating with her BA English degree in 2005, Worawan started her working career as a teacher at Smart English School. She stayed there until 2011 during which time she graduated with an MA in English for communication from Ubon Ratchathani University. After working as a guest lecturer at UBRU, in 2010, Worawan became a lecturer of business English at UBRU in 2011. Worawan has experience as an interpreter for sports players and Australian doctors. She is also active as a special lecturer for a variety of English camps. Some of her duties have taken her to Singapore and Malasia and she is currently studying for a second master degree in education.

 

 


Kanokwan Wongthong

อาจารย์กนกวรรณ วงศ์ทอง MA English, BA English

After graduating from the university, she started to pursue her Master’s degree, and at the same time, she worked as a private English tutor and a freelance Thai to English and English to Thai translator. When she completed her Master’s degree coursework, she passed the test and was qualified to work as a part-time lecturer at Khon Kaen University Language Institute, where she gained many teaching experiences in various subjects such as English for Communications, English for Academic Purposes, and many courses of English for specific purposes. In addition, she was also invited to teach English in Nursing Professions courses at a nursing college, and she had a chance to hold and be a part of English camps, learning activities, workshops and training, and language tutorials. During that time, she was also a part-time lecturer in a private university in Khon Kaen, and a part-time teacher, teaching Thai to foreigners, working as a language partner, and holding English language training to organizations, in a private language and translation company. She worked in three workplaces and meanwhile worked on her thesis. Finally, she obtained her M.A. in English and won the Best Paper prize from an international conference in 2017 as well. After spending almost 10 years on her 2 degrees and working in Khon Kaen, she could go successfully through a selection process for a full-time lecturer in Business English Program, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, and happened to make her big decision to move to Ubon Ratchathani since the end of 2017.
